WILLIAM ATTWELL, Practice Leader, Sub-Saharan Africa Research
William is Practice Leader for Sub-Saharan Africa at Frontier Strategy Group. He advises heads of SSA and their teams on their SSA strategies, specializing in the region’s East and Southern African markets. Previously, William led Africa research at Oxford Analytica and worked as a senior economic policy advisor in the South African government sector. He has published research in Harvard Business Review, Global Policy, and the Journal of Contemporary African Studies, and regularly appears in the media, including BBC, CNBC, USA Today, African Business and Business Day. He holds an M.Sc. from Oxford University, a B.A. from the University of Cape Town and held a research fellowship at Yale University.
MARTINA BOZADZHIEVA, Global Director, Regional Research
Martina oversees FSG’s APAC, EMEA, and LATAM research teams. She works closely with clients to support their strategic and executional priorities across these regions, with a particular focus on EMEA. Martina spent four years as head of EMEA research at FSG and was previously a research analyst responsible for Russia and Central Eastern Europe. Previously she was at the US-Russia Business Council and the PBN Company. She has a BA and MA from Georgetown University and speaks Bulgarian, Russian, and some German.
