[WEBINAR] Puerto Rico Healthcare Webinar: Outlook and Scenarios for a Post-Disaster Puerto Rico
November 17, 2017 | 9:00am-10:00am EST
Puerto Rico market remains in a state of turmoil following the 2017 hurricane season, having sustained an indirect strike from Hurricane Irma and a direct blow from Hurricane Maria.
The immediate consequences of the second storm were dire for Puerto Rico’s 3.4 million inhabitants, and are likely to continue to affect life on the island for months and even years to come.
Multinationals operating on the island are also confronted significant operational challenges in the immediate aftermath of the storm. This was especially true for healthcare companies, as the majority of the island’s hospitals were temporarily put out of service and only opened later, while operating at reduced capacity due to a lack of electricity. Suppliers’ challenges to support these customers was only compounded by storm generated logistics bottlenecks, the already existing and persistent reimbursement challenges, in addition to threated local manufacturing facilities.
During the webinar, our research team will share it’s view and scenarios around these key questions, while also providing a platform for executives to learn from their peer network via strategically positioned interactive polling questions.
