Alex Turkeltaub is Co-Founder of Frontier Strategy Group, responsible for hiring and the development of the FSG team and company culture. Mr. Turkeltaub also works extensively with FSG’s leading clients to help them address high-priority challenges in emerging markets. Prior to joining FSG, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where his work focused on the extractives and banking industries. Mr. Turkeltaub holds BA and MA degrees in International Relations from Stanford University and a JD from the Yale Law School.

Alex Gorbansky is Co-Founder of FSG. Before FSG, Mr. Gorbansky was a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, where his work focused on the natural resources sector. He also worked in strategic positions with Loudcloud and EMC Corporation. Mr. Gorbansky is a recognized authority on emerging markets and has appeared in leading publications and media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Bloomberg, CNBC, BBC, and NPR. He is fluent in Russian and French and is a member of the World Economic Forum. Mr. Gorbansky holds a BS in Financial Engineering from Stanford University and studied international relations and globalization at Magdalen College, Oxford University.

Stephen Bailey is Chief Operating Officer, responsible for FSG’s day-to-day operations. He previously served as FSG’s Head of Research, with responsibility for the development and delivery of all products and client-related content. Mr. Bailey is an expert on political risk assessment and helping asset-intensive industries develop successful government relations strategies. Before joining FSG, he was a corporate attorney in the Washington, DC offices of Wilmer, Cutler, Pickering, Hale, & Dorr. Mr. Bailey is a member of the Board of Directors of the Truman National Security Project. He holds a BA in History from Emory University and a JD from the Yale Law School.

Mary Shea is Chief Commercial Officer, responsible for worldwide sales and service. She has more than 13 years of experience in building and leading high-performing sales teams in the research and advisory, technology, and consulting industries. Prior to joining FSG, Ms. Shea served as General Manager of Sales for Mintel International’s Americas operations, where she oversaw a $40 million subscription portfolio, opened up new sales channels, and delivered industry-leading renewal rates and record profits in 2006. Prior to Mintel, she served as a Regional Director at LRN Corporation and as a Sales Director at Forrester Research. Ms. Shea earned a Ph.D. from Kent State University, a Master’s degree from University of Idaho, and an undergraduate degree from Boston University.

Julia Alexander is Head of Product and oversees FSG’s three product lines: Market Intelligence, Quantitative Research, and the Expert Advisory Network. Ms. Alexander was previously a mergers & acquisitions investment banker at Goldman Sachs. She also served in the Office of the Chairman at Goldman Sachs, advising the CEO on client relationship management and emerging markets strategy. Ms. Alexander is Chairman of GoMa Ventures, an emerging markets social venture fund, and a fellow of the Truman National Security Project. She holds a BA in International Relations from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Eleanor Thorp is Vice President and Head of HR/Recruiting at FSG. While primarily focusing on the attraction and retention of talent for FSG, she also works closely with a small number of FSG’s clients. Prior to joining FSG, Ms. Thorp worked in Europe and New York at executive search firm Whitehead Mann. She focused on the acquisition and assessment of talent across a range of geographies and industries, primarily in the CPG and pharmaceutical sectors, with a particular focus on entrepreneurial companies. Ms. Thorp graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge with an MA in Classics and Social and Political Science and is a member of the Royal Society for Asia Affairs.
