“The Duterte administration intends to roll out new public private partnership (PPP) projects and expedite stalled projects by the previous government. In order to achieve that by 2017, bureaucratic procedures are expected to be reduced. Multinationals should monitor the pipeline of new PPP projects, especially road and transportation projects that are likely to improve connectivity for businesses.”

“Brexit has already sparked volatility in global financial markets and is expected to spur further uncertainty in the medium and long term. In addition to FX volatility and a fall in commodity prices, Latin America can expect to see reduced FDI, diminished trade and cuts to development funding. While some countries may be more exposed, multinationals should be prepared to manage risk in the region.”
